A Szegedi Tudományegyetem Bölcsészettudományi Karának Angol-Amerikai Intézete pályázatot hirdet demonstrátori feladatkör betöltésére a 2024/25 tanév II. félévére.
A demonstrátor feladatai
Az Angol-Amerikai Intézet mindhárom tanszéke félévente alkalmaz demonstrátorokat az intézetben folyó kutatási és oktatási tevékenységek támogatására. A demonstrátor szakmai felügyelet mellett, mentor segítségével végzi a munkáját, amely – megegyezés szerint – az alábbi feladatkörök közül egyet vagy többet tartalmazhat: mentorral együttműködő közös tanítás a tanórán, esetleges helyettesítés, tanórán kívüli korrepetálás és mentorálás, tantermi használatra szánt anyagok előkészítése/gyűjtése/fénymásolása, tesztek összeállítása és ezek, valamint az otthoni feladatok ellenőrzése és javítása, írásbeli vizsgák felügyelete, kutatási tevékenységek támogatása.
A demonstrátori tevékenységet a hallgató önkéntes munka keretében végzi, külön díjazás ezért nem adható. A tevékenységet a hallgató értelemszerűen CV-jében feltüntetheti.
Az elvégzett demonstrátori tevékenységet az intézet vezetője igazolja, igény esetén ajánlólevelet ad a hallgatónak..
A pályázat feltételei
- Tanárképzés 4-5-6. évfolyamon tanuló hallgatója, vagy folyamatban lévő mesterszakos / PhD tanulmányokat folytató hallgató;
- a pályázati kiírást megelőző két szemeszterének – tanulmányiösztöndíj-fizetés alapjául szolgáló – általaga legalább jó;
- a szak képzési és kimeneti követelményeiben meghatározott képzési időt még nem merítette ki.
Benyújtandó dokumentumok
- önéletrajz (személyes adatok: név, születési hely és idő, állandó lakcím, Neptun-kód, jelenleg folytatott tanulmányok: szak/ok, nyelvismeret (nyelv, szint)
- motivációs levél (miért szeretne demonstrátor lenni)
- oktatói ajánlás (a pályázónak fel kell kérnie egy oktatót, aki vállalja a mentorálását a demonstrátori időszak alatt, ő ad ajánlást, aláírás szükséges, szkennelt példányt kérjük megküldeni)
- a pályázat beadását megelőző két szemeszter tanulmányi eredményeit igazoló teljesítményigazolás
- amennyiben aktuális, egyéb szakmai követelmény meglétének igazolása
A pályázat benyújtása, bírálata
A pályázatot és a mellékelendő dokumentumokat 2025. január 27. hétfő 16:00 óráig elektronikus úton kel megküldeni az ieasoffice email címre. Az e-mailt és a benyújtandó dokumentumokat az intézetvezetőnek kell címezni.
A határidőn túl érkezett, továbbá a hiányosan benyújtott pályázat érdemi vizsgálat nélkül elutasításra kerül! A hiánytalanul benyújtott pályázatokat az erre kijelölt bizottság bírálja el a vizsgaidőszak végéig. A sikeres pályázók az elbírálást követően írásbeli értesítést kapnak.

The Institute of English and American Studies (IEAS) of the University of Szeged calls for applications for the positions of teaching assistants for the 2nd semester of the academic year 2024/25.
Teaching assistant’s tasks
The departments of the Institute of English and American Studies employ teaching assistants to support the research and teaching activities of the Institute. The teaching assistants work with the help of a mentor, under professional supervision. The teaching assistants’ tasks are subject to agreement, and they may include team-teaching with their mentor, tutoring and mentoring (out of class support to BA-level students), preparing/collecting/photocopying material for classroom use, compiling tests, checking and correcting tests and home assignments, supervising written exams, supporting research activities.
TAs fill the position through a voluntary contract with the university, they receive no further compensation for their work. Nevertheless, students can get a letter of recommendation or volunteer certificate for future job applications or CVs.
The completion of teaching assistant activities is certified by the Head of the Institute.
The application process
Only full-time students are eligible to apply for a TA position, provided that
- they are graduate students (that is, in teacher training years 4 or 5 or 6, or in an MA or PhD programme).
- Their grade point average from the two semesters prior to the announcement of the application, which serves as the basis for their scholarship is at minimum “good” (jó/4).
- They have not yet completed the training period specified in the training and qualification requirements.
Components of the application/Documents to be submitted
- Curriculum Vitae (personal information: name, place and date of birth, permanent address, Neptun code, current studies: major(s), language skills (language, level)
- cover letter (why the applicant wants to become a teaching assistant,
- recommendation from an instructor they wish to work with (the applicant needs to ask an instructor to mentor them during the assignment, who will then provide a signed recommendation letter, the scanned copy of the signed letter forms part of the application)
- an official printout of their transcripts confirming the academic performance of the two semesters prior to the submission of the application
- documentation of meeting any other professional requirements, if applicable
Submission and evaluation of applications
Applications and the required documents must be electronically submitted by Monday 27 January 2025 at 16:00 to the email address ieasoffice. The e-mail and all documents should be addressed to the Institute Head.
Applications received after the deadline, as well as those submitted incompletely, will be rejected without further consideration! Complete applications will be evaluated by the committee appointed for this purpose until the end of the examination period. Successful candidates will be notified in writing following the evaluation.
