Obituary
We are saddened to announce that Dr. György Novák, a former lecturer of our faculty, passed away at the age of 75 on May 1, after a long and serious illness. He taught generations of students in English, American Studies and Translation Studies. As a skilled cultivator of interdisciplinary approaches, he also left a significant mark as a pioneer in the teaching of American modern literature, especially Ezra Pound, and of Anglophone travel, detective and spy fiction in the home.
