• Degrees: PhD (The title of my PhD is “Rermedial work in Hungarian – a case study”)

• Areas of competence: Sociopragmatics, cross- and intercultural pragmatics, linguistic (im)politeness, conversation analysis in mundane and institutional settings

• Research interests and work in progress: I have done research on apology and remedial work in Hungarian, English and Polish.
  I am currently working on my PhD thesis on repair work in Hungarian and on the topic of linguistic (im)politeness in the time of socialism/communism in Poland and Hungary, which is my new area of interest.
  I am also working as a researcher in the EU funded linguistic research project LINEE (Languages in a Network of European Excellence) in Work Package 3a: Politics and strategies of identity in multicultural European cities.
