Doing Time in a Land of Liberty: A History of American Incarceration – BA course

Dr. Briane Turley (West Virginia University, USA), former Fulbright visiting professor at the Departments of Religious Studies and American Studies, recipient of the Pro Facultate Award of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, is teaching a short BA seminar course of 3 credits, entitled Doing Time in a Land of Liberty: A History of American Incarceration in the spring semester, offered to English and American Studies majors at the BA level. Students in the American Studies specialization track are especially encouraged to take this rare opportunity to enhance their knowledge of US culture and history.

The course will run through three weeks with classes scheduled on 14 occasions and will be administered in Neptun by Dr. Zoltán Vajda.
