How to acces the Faculty Space
With the implementation of IEAS Apps we can now use federated login to all services (Docs, Calendar, etc.) and the Faculty Space. This is made possible by the connection established between the IEAS Website and IEAS Apps: we no longer store user data in our database, but pull the necessary login information from the secure IEAS Apps user account. To access Faculty Space, members of the faculty needs to be (1) registered to the Website and (2) bind their avatar with the IEAS Apps user data. Please follow the steps below to complete the process. (NB: old website user accounts are no longer working: you need not remember various usernames and passwords - all you need is your IEAS Apps account.)
1. IEAS Apps account and the IEAS Website
Upon registering to IEAS Apps, you receive an email with your temporary password. The same password is set for you for accessing the website. When you first log in to IEAS Apps, you will be required to change that password. Once you are done, please navigate to http://www.ieas-szeged.hu/wp-login.php - to the entry of the administration interface of the IEAS Website. You will see this:
On the login page, click on "Or, sign in with a password":
When you click on the link, a new part of the login screen will appear:
Type in your IEAS Apps username and the password you were sent in the IEAS Apps registration notification (password is the same as your IEAS Apps temporary password). Then click on "Log in", and you are taken to your IEAS Website profile page:
Scroll down to the bottom of this page to the Sign-in Provider part:
Click on the OpenID logo, which will let you enter your Sign-in provider's web address (the same as the IEAS Website's address: ieas-szeged.hu):
Click on "Sign In", and a pop-up window appears with the login page of IEAS Apps. Provide your IEAS Apps user account username and password, then click login:
IEAS Apps now asks you to allow the IEAS Website to access some of your user data. Click "Allow":
You are taken to the home page of the IEAS Website. Navigate to your Profile page (http://www.ieas-szeged.hu/wp-admin/profile.php) and scroll down to the bottom of that page again: you will see that your username appears on the OpenID sign-in screen. You are done. Anytime you come back again to log in, you will only need to click on the OpenID logo (so, skip the part with the username & password combo):
Enter ieas-szeged.hu into the text field:
Now if you are logged in to your IEAS Apps account, you are immediately taken to your profile page - IEAS Apps identifies and authenticates you automatically for the Website. If you are not logged in, the pop-up window asks you to log in, and there you are - authenticated to use the website.
2. The Faculty Space
While IEAS Apps is designed to take over many of the tasks the Faculty Space was originally set up for (sharing documents such as State exam details and tables, documents sent for the faculty, etc.), it still retains some functionality.
